Summary

The Mamiya RB is a completely analog camera that was last built in 1981. We strongly recommending using RZ67 or newer Mamiya camera. However for those who must use the RB67 the recommended configuration for use is with a one-shot Phase One Digital Back.

In-Depth

Configuraton should be as follows:

  1. Use the digital back built for a Hasselblad V System.
  2. Use the Mamiya RB plate adapter (Item number 70995) which allows the digtital back to mount the RB correctly. This plate is only a mounting plate placed between the camera body and the digital back. There is no communciation between the two devices with this plate.
  3. Since there is no communication via the plate a camera cable is needed between the lens and the digital back (in order to communicate lens information to the digital back). Either cable can be used (see below).
