You can rest both the firmware and interface using the two techniques below

Firmware - Hold down the top two silver buttons of the digital back and insert battery.

Interface - Insert the battery and push all 4 buttons immediately

For a firmware reset, hold down the top two silver buttons of the digital back and insert battery. You will see the message "Repairing firmware, please wait..." but this is not a full reset and firmware should remain the same as before. Release the buttons after this message appears. The user interface should function normally at this time as buttons have been remapped. If not, please consult a Phase One partner for a potential repair.

 

 

For a UI reset, insert a battery and power on the digital back. Immediately after pressing the power button, hold down all four silver hard buttons on the digital back. The message "Firmware verified" appears and buttons can be released. Should this process not work please consult a Phase One partner for a potential repair.
